Biography of Cheryl McKenna

            I have been painting all my life and have studied art equally as long. Being pragmatic, I also received a degree in fashion design and have worked in that field for thirty years, designing and merchandising sweaters and other knitwear products, and since the late 1990’s,  manufacturing domestic lines of private label product.

            Having discovered encaustics about ten years ago, I found myself freshly inspired by that art form. 

            This is my first gallery show and my wish is to warm a heart or home with the organic nature of my work.
